Safety Check

With $100,000 Freddy began his business.

It was five years ago. Now he has stores in Brooklyn and Queens, wherever workers might be passing by.

He's cautious about his success. He told this resident that he had only two stores. She found out later he has seven.

He opened the store in Blissville two years ago, moving in where Del Colle's once was. He wasn't bothered by the high rent of the 1916 architectural marvel.

It was a mess but he cleaned it up.

He knew he had a business similar to Del Colle's, now off the main street and around the corner in a basement.

Out of respect he tries to carry different products from them. And he sends customers their way when customers need new or used work clothes. He hopes they do the same for him. But he doesn't worry. His store is the one everyone sees first.

His plan is to stay in Blissville as long as there are workers. And when they disappear, he'll find another neighborhood.
